Gotham
Gotham is the definition of an introvert. She isn’t a fan of being approached, but will approach only on her on terms. She cannot be held or pet — she has set boundaries and they are respected. She takes food from my hand and comes when called. She is a stickler for routine and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body.
She actually has grown to have quite the sense of humor and is full of surprises. Her stealthy and quiet demeanor allows her to turn up in the most unexpected places: in a drawer or behind a curtain.
This is pretty cute — she is bowlegged.
It is rare, but she does play. She wrestles with Arkham to no end, but every once in a while I will catch her with a toy. She is huge on foraging activities.
She is also surprisingly brave and resilient. She is not phased easily by other animals, people, or loud noises. As long as her main familiarities are at play, she is laidback.
She used to have a relationship with the resident flying squirrel, Maverick. He used to live in a bookshelf and free roam the house. Gotham would sit with him and share dinner and water. She does the same with our tabby cat, Lamb. She enjoys sharing dry cat food and a water dish with her fellow feline.
Twizzlers are her favorite! I frequently find her standing on her hind legs soliciting for Twizzlers each evening, at the main room’s sliding glass entries. She places her front paws on the glass and gives you the eyes; those big, dark Puss-in-Boots eyes. She is so hard to say “no” to. And God forbid there are no Twizzlers in the house! She pouts — there is no acceptable substitute, therefore we always keep them on hand. The red ones are her favorite, but she actually enjoys all kinds!
